As senior cloud architect, you’ll be taking the lead in designing, developing and optimizing ANWB’s multicloud AWS and Azure architecture. Devising a comprehensive cloud-first policy and defining guardrails, you will lay the foundations for the architecture, securing scalability, reliability and performance of our services and solutions. You will also provide guidance to and work closely with your colleagues of Cloud Platform Engineering, who develop and build the architecture.

You’ll play a key role in consulting internal users on the migration process. Collaborating with our three centers of expertise, Security, Architecture and Compliance, you will translate their requirements into the policy and architecture. If necessary, you will identify and explain changes needed to align with the cloud reality. You’ll also advise our business teams, including the teams of anwb.nl and our member apps, on best practices when developing their solutions. Staying on top of the latest technology, you will inform stakeholders of the potential of new services, helping drive innovations.

Combining vision, technical know-how and a DevOps mindset, you engage the engineers who build the architecture, securing our goals. As a thought leader, you harness your communication skills to build your network across our organization and convince technical and non-technical stakeholders of your vision.

Other qualifications and experience you bring to ANWB:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar subject.
Extensive work experience as an AWS and Azure Solutions Architect, preferably with AWS and/or Azure certification.
A proven track record of leading architectural decisions.
Demonstrable experience of designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions in AWS and Azure, and extensive knowledge of cloud-native architectural patterns.
Experience with containerization tools and platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

For this position we are not looking for an freelance solution.

A gross annual salary of up to €106.500 including holiday allowance and a year-end bonus (based on a 38-hours workweek)
You have the option of working four days a week (32 hours minimum)
Contribution to the costs for commuting by car
Full reimbursement of costs for commuting by public transport
ANWB membership and Roadside Assistance (Wegenwacht) subscription in the Netherlands for car or bicycle
25 days’ holiday and 13 days under shorter working hours scheme (ADV) based on a full-time contract
