As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer within the Cloud Platform Engineering team, you will be working on growing the adoption of a new agile way of software development within the ANWB. The Cloud Platform Engineering team provides a solid AWS and Azure landing zone with the necessary guardrails. The team also enables the DevOps teams to use new AWS and Azure technology most efficiently and effectively. You know everything about Cloud, CI/CD, IaC and love automation.

It is also your job to recognize impediments that teams experience when adopting this new way of working. We are the initiators and promoters of innovation within the company in the area of (AWS and Azure) cloud. You analyze these and, with your colleagues in the CPE team (and without) propose solutions to these problems. You love coming up with new and better solutions. That means you can understand technical complexity down to a fundamental level or be willing to learn to do so.

The CPE team works according to Agile methodologies. With your Product Owner and team, you define and prioritize epic’s, and user story’s that you will work on in a two-weekly sprint. You work on refining user stories so they will be reliably implemented during a sprint. You also collaborate closely with colleagues in the Cloud Center of Enablement to ensure consistency in our Service Catalogue.

Welke skills heb je nodig?

This is your future position, because you:

Have a Bachelor or Master’s Degree, preferably in a technical field like Computer Science;
Can demonstrate more than 4 years of experience as a cloud engineer, or as a developer exposed to AWS and the Azure cloud platform. Preferably in a large corporate;
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python and Powershell preferred);
Working Experience in AWS and Azure, preferably CDK and Terraform or writing CloudFormation templates directly, Code Pipelines, ARM and Bicep.
Have experience with working in an Agile team, teamplayer, proactive, innovative, studious (experience with- and willingness to pick up scrum master-related tasks is a plus);
are proficient in DevOps and CI/CD;

It’s a Pre to have a proven understanding of Cloud security and monitoring, networking, network security and network services: topics such as Virtual Private Cloud, Routing, VPC Peering, VPC Endpoints, AWS Transit Gateway, Web Application Firewalls and Load Balancers don’t intimidate you. You have experience in migration AWS Landingszone to AWS Control tower. We also highly appreciate you having the AWS Solutions Architect Associate and/or Developer certification, Microsoft Azure Administrator and/or Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure and (preferably) Professional Certification(s).

A monthly salary between € 4.059,- and € 6.765,- based on a full-time contract.
A 5.58% year-end bonus.
Contribution to the costs for commuting by car.
Full imbursement of costs for commuting by public transport.
ANWB membership and Roadside Assistance (Wegenwacht) subscription in the Netherlands for car or bicycle.
25 days’ holiday and 13 days under a shorter working hours scheme (ADV) based on a full-time contract.
